Whoever receives the most votes wins the direct mandate.<\/li><li><strong>The second vote<\/strong> is decisive for the distribution of seats in the Bundestag and ultimately determines the parties' majorities.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ca5245f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"ca5245f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Why is vote splitting problematic?<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4ce29c3 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4ce29c3\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tA widespread misconception is that \"tactical\" voting can have a positive influence on the election result.
