Ingo Kotzian addresses fundamental issues in his budget speech and looks back over the last 4 ½ years. During this time, all councillors have spent countless hours sacrificing their free time for the common good, discussing, engaging and fighting. But with what results? What have we achieved? Unfortunately, the answer is very sobering, because we have achieved virtually nothing that we can proudly show to our citizens. The last few years have been characterised by stagnation.
This was not due to a lack of consultation between the parliamentary groups or a lack of resolutions by the committees or the city council, nor was it due to a lack of money, no, it was solely due to the inadequate implementation of these resolutions.
