An intensive exchange on the issues that affect Kaarst: At the New Year's reception in Dortmund on 31 January 2026, representatives from politics and business came together at the invitation of the state CDU. The focus was on the current challenges facing towns and municipalities.
Mayor Christian Horn-Heinemann and CDU city association chairman Dennis Oscheja took the opportunity to hold numerous expert discussions with representatives from the state, federal government and Europe. It was particularly important to look at the municipal level: how can cities like Kaarst solve technological and social challenges together while remaining close to the people?
The Kaarst delegation was accompanied by Ansgar Heveling, Member of the Bundestag, and District Administrator Katharina Reinhold. Together, numerous suggestions were made for local council work and administration. The goal remains clear: to further promote Kaarst as an attractive location in North Rhine-Westphalia and to secure it through strong networks in Düsseldorf and Berlin.
