CDU joins in the celebrations: Shooting festival in Holzbüttgen

Schützenfest Holzbüttgen
Holzbüttgen shooting festival

"The weather god is Holzbüttger" headlined the NGZ to the marvellously beautiful Schützenfest weekend. The weather really did play along exceptionally well and gave all marksmen, interested parties and guests a wonderfully colourful shooting festival.

The Holzbüttger Schützenfest is of particular importance to Christian Horn-Heinemann. He is an active member of the "Gemütliche Jonge" and has been involved since his primary school days: "We see each other at least once a year, at the shooting festival in our home village of Holzbüttgen." And so, like many other CDU members, he celebrated vigorously at the weekend.

And there were plenty of reasons to celebrate:

  1. The new tent layout worked well and most of the tent visitors were impressed. Incidentally, the size of the tent remained the same at 25 metres x 60 metres.
  2. The children's shooting party was particularly popular: over 200 girls and boys from the daycare centre and primary school celebrated their birthday together. Children's king and queen Henry and Mira.
  3. The crowning glory of the Student Prince Florian Berzins and the Young shooter king Ben I. Rössler was celebrated on Saturday evening with a big shooting party with DJ Marc Pesch.
  4. The fairground attracted lots of young and old visitors and offered a nice selection with the caterpillar carousel, a children's carousel and a wide variety of stalls.
  5. Shooting King H.M. Patrick I. with Queen Lena proved that young parents also make an excellent royal couple.
