Annual General Meeting 2024 of the Junge Union

At the annual general meeting and Christmas party of the Junge Union Kaarst in December, the slogan "40 per cent plus X" was announced - with this, the JU is getting in the mood for the election campaign. The JU currently has 300 members. Simon Frese and Philipp Fischer were elected as additional committee members without dissenting votes. Alexander Witte (36) was also dismissed from the JU after 17 years as an assessor. JU Chairman Conrad Schots was delighted to receive special praise from Sven Ladeck for his commitment.

In addition to the young party members, the guests also included all the leaders of the associations, the local and city association and the district: Kaarst CDU mayoral candidate Christian Horn-Heinemann, Theo Thissen (Chairman of the Seniors' Union), Karin Orlich (Chairwoman of the Women's Union), CDA Chairwoman Angelika Zelleröhr, Sven Ladeck (Chairman of the district parliamentary group) and Deputy Chairman Lars Christoph.

Lars Christoph emphasised that young people are indispensable in politics, as they have a different perspective on the many decisions that will only be implemented in 10 or 20 years' time.

CDU mayoral candidate Christian Horn-Heinemann was delighted that there was a balanced list and that the young people are starting the local election campaign in very good positions on the list. JU members Pascal André and Lars Witte also have the chance to enter the city council as direct candidates.
