The CDU parliamentary group in the district council of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss supports the planned restructuring of the Rheinland-Klinikum, which includes the closure of the emergency department in Grevenbroich and the gynaecology and maternity ward in Dormagen. We are aware of the associated burdens for the population, patients and staff and consider the concerns and worries expressed to be justified. However, we also recognise the necessity of the planned measures for medical and economic reasons. Our focus is on patient welfare, transparency and responsible decisions to safeguard healthcare provision in the district in the long term.
