On 9 August 2025 Kaarst was characterised by community, exchange and summer fun: The CDU Kaarst-Büttgen invited - and many citizens accepted the invitation.
Start with KaarstBewegt - cycle tour with the mayoral candidate
Things got off to a sporty start in the morning: together with our mayoral candidate Christian Horn-Heinemann numerous participants took part in the KaarstBewegt cycle tour on the pedals. The route led through various districts, with several stops for personal dialogue. There were many topics on the table - from Road safety about Family friendliness up to lively town centres. The bike tour offered the perfect opportunity to experience politics up close and ask questions directly to the candidates.
Summer festival at the Tuppenhof - a celebration for the whole family
In the afternoon, we set off on the idyllic Tuppenhof continue: In the best summer weather, we welcomed many guests, big and small, to our CDU summer party. We were particularly pleased about the visit of our District administrator candidate Katharina Reinhold and our mayoral candidate Christian Horn-Heinemann.
For the younger visitors, the Children's Olympics an absolute highlight - with stations such as Goal wall shooting, sack races and duck fishing. For the adults, there were opportunities for good conversation, delicious sausages, cool drinks and a relaxed atmosphere.

Whether on a bike, at the Children's Olympics or in conversation over a glass of wine - 9 August showed how important Proximity to the citizens is. We listen, take on board suggestions and work with a clear plan for a Strong, modern and liveable Kaarst.
