Ground-breaking ceremony at the Catholic primary school

Yesterday's ground-breaking ceremony marks the next milestone for the Catholic primary school on Alte Heerstraße: the urgently needed extension is now officially entering the construction phase. The two-storey modular building is due to be completed in just one year. The city of Kaarst is investing around 15 million euros in this project - a strong signal in favour of good education and a sustainable family policy.

The importance of this extension was already evident yesterday: all the pupils were present and welcomed the guests from politics, the school and the construction company Alho Systembau with two rehearsed songs. Headmistress Anika Seipelt emphasised the high demand in her speech: "Space for modern learning and good supervision is being created here."

A total of around 3,000 square metres of new space is planned: 14 rooms for OGS childcare, 5 new classrooms and a canteen will significantly expand the school's facilities.

We look forward to the progress to come - for our children, their education and a strong community!
