The CDU Kaarst-Büttgen mourns the loss of Johannes Höhner

The sudden death of Johannes Höhner has affected and saddened many in Büttgen, Driesch, Holzbüttgen, Kaarst and Vorst who accompanied and supported him in his commitment to the community.

Johannes Höhner was a strong personalitywas clear and authentic in his thinking and speech. He was straightforward and reliable, you could trust his word. In various areas, we also experienced him as a very social person who was always willing to help.

Johannes Höhner loved his home town of Holzbüttgen and Büttgen. He was a marksman in the Büttgen brotherhood with heart and soul. With his infectious enthusiasm, he was able to win over many a newcomer to the shooting community.

His great passion was caring for the Büttgen fountain on the town hall square. He was the 1st chairman of the Brunnenverein for many years. Since 2013, he has been instrumental in organising the annual fountain festival with many active participants and has made it a permanent fixture in the Büttgen festival calendar.

Local politics shapes how people live together locally and he was a committed member of the CDU for many years. He was happy to contribute his expertise and ideas in his enthusiastic way to promote a good life in Kaarst, especially in Büttgen. From 2009 to 2011, he was deputy treasurer of the CDU in the Rhine district of Neuss, and treasurer from 2011 to 2021.

The strength for his profession and his company, for his many voluntary activities and He received his happy life from his beloved wife Irina and his two children. You and your entire family will sorely miss this kind-hearted, committed and incisive person. As devout Christians, however, they trust that John is now in God's loving hands.

We have lost a wonderful, special person from our midst and are very sad. We will remember his commitment, his open approach to everyone he met and his work with gratitude.
