At its general meeting on 26 September 2024, the CDU Kaarst Christian Horn-Heinemann with a large majority as candidate for mayor elected for the 2025 municipal elections. Around 93 per cent of the voting members present voted in favour of Horn-Heinemann, who has been involved in local politics in Kaarst for many years.
The meeting, which was attended by around 100 members and guests in the "twenty seven" event location The fact that so many people came to see Horn-Heinemann shows the broad support he enjoys in his party. After his election, the newly nominated candidate thanked and promised a committed election campaign. "I am looking forward to working together with the citizens on the future of Kaarst," he emphasised. The central themes of his election programme also include the Financial stability of the citywhich Support for families and young people and the Improving the quality of life in Kaarst. He attaches great importance to an open dialogue with citizens: "A transparent exchange is the basis for trust and successful cooperation."
The CDU Kaarst is united behind its candidate and is optimistic about the election campaign for 2025.
