At its general meeting on 5 May 2026 at twenty seven in Kaarst, the CDU Kaarst Büttgen elected a new board and at the same time sent a clear signal for unity, responsibility and the further development of the city. Around 90 members accepted the invitation.
Dennis Oscheja was elected with around 84 per cent of the vote as the new Chairman of the CDU Kaarst Büttgen was elected. The members elected Elke Bong and Volker Begas as deputy chairpersons. The rest of the Executive Board team also received broad support.
In his speech, Oscheja looked back on the past two years, which were primarily characterised by the local elections. He emphasised how important unity, clear structures and a local presence had been for the joint success. With the election of Mayor Christian Horn Heinemann the CDU has achieved its central goal and at the same time won all constituencies.
With a view to the coming years, Oscheja also emphasised the CDU's ambition to actively develop Kaarst further. Despite the tight budget situation, the city must remain capable of acting. At the same time, he referred to the progress made in attracting businesses and the development of previously unused areas.
Another focus will be on integrating the technical expertise within the party to a greater extent and creating new formats for strategic discussions and Kaarst's long-term development.
In conclusion, Oscheja made it clear that the CDU Kaarst Büttgen would continue to focus on direct dialogue with citizens in the future.
„Our goal is to continue to actively shape Kaarst. With clear decisions, reliable policies and the ambition to take responsibility,“ says Oscheja.
