After the meeting of the Committee for Mobility, Environment, Climate and Agriculture (MuKL) on 4 June was interrupted after more than four hours due to the extensive agenda, it was resumed on 18 June.
Focal points of the meeting:
In addition to questions from the CDU and the Greens on the municipal vehicle fleet, cleanliness at bus stops and improving the cycle path between Holzbüttgen and Büttgen, another important point was discussed:
The paths in the Vorst green corridor are to be partially renovated. Funding will be granted for this measure.
Topics in the non-public part:
In the confidential part of the meeting, the CDU once again asked questions about the administration's handling of so-called ecopoints. Among other things, we wanted to know:
-
Who acquired the ecopoints?
-
Who authorised the sale?
-
Why were the points sold below the market price?
These questions are particularly relevant as many farmers in Vorst are annoyed by the administration's approach. As a rule, they lose arable land that has to be afforested for compensatory measures.
The meeting ended after around one and a half hours - just in time for the public holiday.
